The Club and its professional coaching team provide the following programme for both boys and girls -
1.
TriGolf
- a fun way to introduce youngsters aged 4 to 6 to the game.
2.
Golf Roots Golf Passport
- a national structured learning programme for ages 5 to 12, established by the Golf Foundation which brings a youngster up to readiness for club membership.
3. Junior Academy - this involves practical coaching and instruction leading towards a player's first handicap.
We aim to maintain a pupil to coach ratio of 6:1.
Once a playing handicap has been obtained, the Club offers a variety of competitions for Juniors, some involving other sections of the club.
Junior golf coaching is given individually (whenever convenient) or as a group on Saturday afternoons. There are classes for the academy risers at 1-2pm and 3.30-4.30pm and for the main academy 2.15-3.15pm and 4.45-5.45pm. If you would like to discuss which class your child should be in please contact one of the team in the Professional shop on 01483 417278 or email professional@wsgc.co.uk
Two years ago I had a handicap of 18, an enormous slice and needed some help.
in One 30 minute lesson duncan identified what was wrong and i've since had 4 or 5 further lessons to improve other aspects of my game.
i now play to a consistent single figure handicap.
i wouldn't hesitate to recomennd duncan and his team - great value, easy to understand and proven results !
